Review: Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Mascara

Hello beautifuls!

So, I was requested to do a review on my favorite drugstore mascara, and I was actually super excited to do this post because my favorite drugstore mascara is one of my holy grail beauty products. If you want a post on my favorite high-end mascara, then I'll be sure to do a post on it as well! My favorite drugstore mascara is none other than the Maybelline Volum' Express The Falsies Mascara (Maybelline Falsies for short).

Maybelline The Falsies Mascara $5.00-$8.00, prices vary by location
The Claims:
More visible lashesNew
  • Fills in the gaps
  • Instant volume
  • Spoon brush
  • False lash effect
  • with Pro-Kera + Fibers
  • Ophthalmologist Tested
  • Contact Lens Safe
Unique flexible wand helps to lift and separate lashes to provide the look of more lashes.
Patented Spoon brush and Kera-fiber formula instantly build 5x more volume without clumping to complete the false lash look.
Made in U.S.A.

I think it's important if you all knew the type of lashes I have. I have short and sparse lashes..."asian" eyelashes, if you will. When it comes to mascara I look for 3 important factors; length, volume, and wear. This mascara has both positive and negative reviews. As you can see, I have 2 more tubes behind my newly purchased one. This just shows how much I'm obsessed with this mascara. Now, if you're someone who piles mascara on like you want to use one tube per lash, then of course this mascara will clump. I apply just 2-3 coats of this mascara and WOW-E does this mascara not only provide great volume, length and since I purchased the waterproof formula it lasts all day even underwater, but if you purchase it in Very Black, then you are settled with a gorgeous dark black color that really makes your eyes pop!

Until Next Time,
xoxo

BB Cream for hair? Review: Pantene Pro-V Ultimate 10 BB Creme

Hey beautifuls!

So, I went online recently to one of my favorite websites teenvogue.com and I stumbled upon a post talking about a BB cream for hair. I just wanted to share my opinion, if that's alright!

So, I knew about BB creams way before I knew much about makeup because my cousin used it and she's from Asia. BB creams have now reached the US and no offense to some of my favorite companies, but some just claim their product is a BB cream and hopped on the bandwagon without actually creating a BB cream but a tinted moisturizer. It's kind of upsetting.

Anyways, about the Pantene BB cream, it's $5.99 on drugstore.com and it's supposed to be a 10-in-1 miracle hair product.

Pantene Pro-V Ultimate 10 BB Creme $5.99

  • Repair for rough hair
  • Strength against damage

Since 1945, Pantene has had a commitment to healthy hair.  Our enriched formulas contain Pro-Vitamins.  Hair so healthy it shines.  Multi-tasking formula with Pro-Vitamins.  Inspired by skincare’s multi-tasking BB Cream phenomenon, Ultimate 10 performs multiple actions for healthy hair and a polished look.
Made in USA

From: www.drugstore.com

I feel like the word "BB cream" is getting too misused in the states, but that's just my opinion. I would feel more intrigued with this product if they didn't put "BB" on the label. It seems more as a multi-purpose styling product, which is basically what is is.

I haven't purchased it, but I will do a full review if I do!

Until Next Time,
xoxo

Elf Cosmetics Haul!

Hello beautifuls!

So yesterday, I took a trip to Target and I finally found ELF! I always wanted to purchase something from this brand but I could never find it at any of the Target locations that are nearby me. I purchased 2 products that I really wanted to try out by their brand which is their Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in St. Lucia, as well as their Eyebrow Kit in Medium.

Left: E.l.f Eyebrow Kit in Medium
Right: E.l.f Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in St. Lucia
Each of these products by E.l.f were $3.00+tax which is really amazing being that the quality is very nice! The packaging reminds me of the NARS products and it's super affordable! I can't wait to use the blush because it's such a beautiful rosy/pink/coral shade all in one with some shimmer which is perfect for the springtime! It really reminds me of NARS Orgasm.

Any favorite Elf products? Let me know your favorites in the comments below!

Until Next Time,

How I Remove My Makeup & The Products I Use!

Hey guys!

I'm so sorry that I haven't posted in a while and it's no one's fault but mine. I've been dealing with a lot. And by a lot, I mean a lot. I'll probably do a separate post on it or maybe a video soon, but for now, I thought I'd post about how I remove my makeup and the products I use!

Okay, so the first thing I do is address the situation. I know I'm probably making it sound like a life or death situation, but you need to address the situation! If you have a ton of eye makeup on, then you'll need more things to remove it with, capiche?

I typically remove my makeup right after school so that I don't have my makeup on all day and I can have breathable skin.

The first thing I use is the Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes . These babies remove visible foundation and makeup that isn't crazy crazy waterproof. I take one wipe and remove all the surface makeup. However, it doesn't remove everything deep in your pores.

So, after I use the remover wipe, then I take my Korres Milk Proteins 3-in-1 Cleansing, Toning, and Eye-Makeup removing Emulsion with a round cotton pad and wipe it all over my face. Literally, this will show you how much makeup is still left in your pores! I love this stuff! Even though I have oily-combo skin, it doesn't make my skin super oily, it actually balances it out and makes it in fact less oily!

If I have extra eye makeup or coats and coats of waterproof eye makeup, then I would use an eye makeup remover, such as the Lancome Bi-Facial Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover or the Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover  which are two amazing eye makeup removers!

After, I use my Olay Pro-X brush with a cleanser that I enjoy. Recently, that cleanser is the Neutrogena Oil-Free Pink Grapefruit Scrub. Holy chicken cannolis. This stuff feels so good on my skin and smells amazing! It really keeps my skin clear I love it!

So that's my makeup removing routine, I hope it maybe gave you some times or advice on you could remove your makeup!

Until Next Time,
xoxo

Hello gorgeous!

As mid-winter break comes to an end for me, I was in need of a new cleanser! So, I stopped by my nearest drugstore and picked up the new Olay Fresh Effects Shine, Shine Go Away! Shine Minimizing Cleanser. It was $7.99 the last time I checked drugstore.com.

*The ingredient's list and claims.

After using it, I feel like this cleanser is suitable for people who have my skin-type, Combination-Oily. If you have Combination skin-Very Oily skin I feel like this cleanser is going to be great for you! Kaolin clay is a very powerful oil absorbing ingredient! I feel really refreshed after using this cleanser. If you have dry-skin I think it'll be too drying for you. As for shine control, I only used this a few times so I wouldn't really know because I've only used it on days when I haven't worn makeup. I'll do an update post soon though!

*UPDATE*
THIS CLEANSER IS AN EXACT DUPE FOR THE LANCOME CREAM DE RADIANCE CREAM-FOAM CLEANSER!

Overall, I feel like this is a great cleanser for those with combination/oily skin type, even normal skin.

Until Next Time,
xoxo
