Review: Herbal Essences Body Envy Dry Shampoo

Hello beautiful!

I'm super excited that drugstores are carrying more and more dry shampoos! Before, I was always so hesitant on trying dry shampoos after my unfortunate experience with the one by Suave Professionals (let's just say it looked like I didn't shower in days with a load of dandruff). However, I took a trip to Walmart to try out one of their exclusive brands created by Drew Barrymore, Flower Beauty. Some strange force led me to the hair aisle where I browsed through the Herbal Essences section and saw that they had a new product, dry shampoo! I believe they carry three different scents, but the "uplifting citrus essence" drew me in.

I got mine at Walmart for $6.99+tax and it is located in the hair care aisle.

Ingredients

Now, I shower every single day. I feel disgusted with myself if I don't. I know it's a controversy amongst many that you should wash your hair every other day, etc. But for me, I prefer to wash my hair daily. However, I did go to a party and curl my hair, and then woke up the next day and wanted to revive my hair and wear the same hairstyle that day, so I used this dry shampoo on my roots and worked it into my scalp. I am so SO happy with this product. I doesn't leave a white cast on the hair, and it makes your hair look clean and fresh. The smell is very pleasant as well! You can also use this as a volumizer as it lifts your hairs from the roots up!

Huge Stila Haul and Review!

One of my all time favorite products from them is their Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner. I highly recommend you try this eyeliner out because it is by far the best liquid eyeliner on the market. Not to exaggerate, but if there was a tsunami and you used this eyeliner, I am 99% positive your eyeliner will still look flawless due to its impressive waterproof formula. For that reason, I decided to order another one on stilacosmetics.com. Now, you can purchase this wherever Stila products are sold (Sephora, Ulta, Macys, etc.), but since I was wasting hours browsing online stores, I decided to buy it online since I could also receive free shipping if I spent $50.00 or more. Since this was my first time ordering from their website, I did receive a 20% off discount!

Okay, let's just say 1 of the items I bought was necessary (I did run out of my other Stila Stay All Day Eyeliner) and the rest was impulse.

Stila Prime Pot in Taffy

I bought 2 of the prime pots because I knew my sister needed a new eye primer so I thought she would like to try this out! It is a nude color and acts as a blank canvas for eye shadow. It also prolongs the longevity of the eyeshadow's wear time. Unlike other pot primers I've tried before, this one has a more tacky formula and isn't super creamy. I do think it deserves it's fame as one of the best high end primers because it doesn't crease and stays put!

The Hydrating Primer is colorless, and is great for the colder months when my skin is a little more dry. It doesn't have a silicon feel that a lot of primers have which is both good and bad. I love how it's oil-free so it won't clog my pores and cause breakouts, but I do love the smoothness that silicon primers give to the skin. I love how both the primer and foundation are oil-free! I have oil-combination skin so these products are suitable for me!

Stila Brighten & Correct Concealer in Light

When I took this concealer out of its packaging, I was very disappointed to find that only 1/2 the container is filled. For $28.00, that's expensive! I purchased this because my Yves Saint Laurent Touche Éclat is similar to this product, but not as hydrating as I'd like it to be. I don't really have dark under-eye circles but sometimes some brightness is nice and refreshing!

I wanted a plain ol' white eyeliner that was waterproof so I chose Empress, but I'm not so sure if I like it's iridescent. Periwinkle is true to name and is really pretty! I saw a photo of someone with a muted blue eyeliner on, and I fell in love of how simplistic yet beautiful it looked!

REVIEW: MAC Spiked Eyebrow Pencil

Hi there flawless!

Today, I wanted to do a review on my all time favorite eyebrow pencil. And by all time, I mean this stuff is the bomb digity dooh dah of eyebrow products. I discovered this while watching a few youtube videos and I realized that a ton of my favorite youtube gurus own this product! So, evidently, I decided I should pick up this product that everyone was raving about. What is this eyebrow product of the Heavens you ask? It is the MAC Eyebrow Pencil in the shade "Spiked". It is available at most Department stores that carry MAC products as well as maccosmetics.com.

As a disclaimer, everyone's eyebrows are their own unique shade. Spike so happens to be the perfect color for my eyebrow hairs that appear most natural. MAC carries a wide variety of shades to choose from so make sure you ask one of their professional makeup artists to distinguish which shade fits you most!

Ingredients:

Size of pencil and swatch color of "Spiked"

This pencil cost $16.00+sales tax. I have a dark brown hair so the shade "Spiked" suited me best. I love how pigmented MAC products are. Since spiked is more of a deep brown shade, I don't have to use so much force to create the perfect brow, hence not wasting the product. The makeup artist at MAC told me that it is a wax product so it is long lasting and waterproof. It is also only twist up. This product does not twist back down so fair warning. I love how a light feathery hand can create a natural beautiful brow that doesn't look fake or strange.

Recipe: Gluten Free Brownies! (Black Bean Brownies)

Hi everyone!

This year, I've become more aware of the importance of a healthy lifestyle. I used to devour chips and processed junk that tasted delicious, but was toxic for my body. Over the summer, I developed healthy eating habits and a consistent workout "routine". Now, I control my portions, eat (mostly) vegan, gluten-free, and as raw as possible. In other words, I try to eat as clean as I can. Alongside with being more active and putting on my running shoes, I've lost a total of 20 pounds since the summer time. I am proud of my accomplishments and motivated to continue live a healthy lifestyle. If you want more information on my weight loss, or anything alongside my "diet" and nutrition or working out, let me know and I'll be happy to share it with you!

Anyways, today I wanted to share a recipe that I saw on MeghanRosette's youtube channel, which is recipe for Black Bean Brownies! Now, I know the name is scary, but trust me, if you're someone who is eating clean and staying away from processed chocolates and fatty foods full of refined sugar and butter, then these brownies are perfect for you!

Ingredients:

- I can of Black Beans
-1/4 Cup Coco Powder
-10-12 Tablespoons or 3/4 of a cup Stevia (or any other sweetener)
-1/2 Cup of Apple Sauce
-3 Eggs (or 9 egg whites) 
-1 Teaspoon of Vanilla Extract 
-Pinch of Salt
-Chocolate Chips

Directions:

1.) Preheat ove to 350 degrees
2.) Drain Black Beans
3.) Blend all ingredients in a blender until smooth (besides for chocolate chips)
4.) Place into a baking dish and bake for 30 minutes, check every 5 minutes
5.) Cool for 15 minutes and serve!
