Review: Tarte: Baby It's Bold Outside The Stand Outs Limited-edition Best-sellers Kit

Hello flawless!

I want to wish everyone a late Merry Christmas! I didn't have time to post anything from when I got back (Monday) to Christmas (Yesterday) til today! I got back from Punta Cana on Monday and let me just say, it was a BEAUTIFUL TRIP! I highly recommend anyone to go there because it's just a gorgeous and wonderful place for a vacation. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer them! Even though I put SPF 55 on my face, it still got burnt. Tan, but burnt. A few misfortunes did happen to me though. First we were 5 minutes late so we missed our flight so we had to pay a couple thousand dollars more, and rebook an entirely new route and flight! That wasted an entire day. Then, my luggage was "lost". It was supposed to be in Punta Cana, but it was left in Miami. Then, I fell down the stair case because it was slippery and wet after a day of rain. Then, the waiter dropped all the drinks on me so I was covered in many Pina Coladas and the glass drink ware broke on the floor and on me so I got a few cuts on my arm. Good thing the wound wasn't very deep, and Cream of Coconut and Pineapple juice washes out of BCBG.

I will be uploading a video on what I received for Christmas this year because that video was requested. But one of the things I received from my sister is something I'd like to do a review on which is the Tarte Baby It's Bold Outside The Stand Outs Limited-edition Best-sellers Kit! It is a 4-piece kit of Tarte's best of the best!

From left to right: Double Ended Eyeliner Brush, Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner in Bronze,
LipSurgence lip luster in Pouty, and a deluxe sample of Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-in-1 Mascara!
This set is sold for $25.00 (Total Value: $88.00) at tartecosmetics.com, Sephora, and Ulta.

Description from tarte.com

A limited-edition best-sellers kit is a mix of best-selling products in shades hand-picked by tarte founder Maureen Kelly and the tarte team.
Product Performance: Must haves for playing up your best features are all inside the giftable box—designed especially for the tartelette with gifts to give and stockings to fill!.

baby, it’s bold outside

here’s what’s inside:
  • Amazonian clay waterproof liner in bronze
  • double-ended eyeliner brush
  • LipSurgence™ lip luster in pouty
  • deluxe lights, camera, lashes!™4-in-1 mascara
Powered By: Amazonian clay: will work to nourish lids, reduce surface oil and improve overall texture for easy application and better wear.

LipSurgence Lip Luster in Pouty
Retail Value: $24
The Claims:
As a follow up to tarte's best-selling LipSurgence™ lip tints, these shimmering lip lusters give  lips a high dose of color and shine in an easy twist-up stick.
Product Performance: LipSurgence™ lip lusters combine sheer iridescent pure color with natural moisturizers that glides on smooth and soften lips. This proprietary formula effectively increases skin’s water content for a ‘plumped up’ appearance with a natural hint of shimmering tint and taste of mint. The result is naturally fuller, healthier lips without any irritation or stinging. The easy-to-use twist-up container eliminates the need for sharpeners.
Powered By: A proprietary blend of plant bio-nutrients, vitamins, and essential oils rich in emollients: these antioxidant free radical fighters (vitamin C & E, pepperming & jojoba oil) prevent premature signs of aging, while softening lips.
Source: tartecosmetics.com

I have always wanted to try out a Tarte LipSurgence Lipstain (Lip Luster). When I first got in to makeup, this is one of the many things I found out about from different youtube beauty gurus. The color of this lipstick-stain is a pinky-red color with shimmer in it. When lightly applied, it is an enhancement of my natural lip shade. It is suitable for all skin-tones, in my opinion. It's also a nice shade to wear everyday in all seasons. When you apply it to your lips wanting the full color, the pigmentation is very vibrant and it looks not over dramatic. I think you can pair this lip color with any look you're trying to achieve! (Just remember to not do the bold lip+eye+cheek, it looks too tacky!) I also love how it's a twist-up applicator so there's no need for the sharpening hassle! Also, after a while or once you wipe the product off, it leaves a pretty flush tint on your lips! Bonus! The flavor is minty-fresh.

Overall Rating: 9/10

The Claims:
A lengthening, curling, volumizing, and conditioning mascara infused with olive esters to condition, treat, and protect lashes.
Product Performance: Our lights, camera, lashes™ 4-in-1 mascara could be considered a push-up bra for your lashes—a 4-in-1 (lengthening, curling, volumizing, and conditioning) plus it’s dermatologist- and clinically-proven to increase the appearance of lash volume.
Powered By: olive esters: conditions, treats and protects lashes

I haven't used this mascara long enough to see if it made any difference in the condition of my lashes. But, I do really like this mascara on first the price ($19.00 in comparison to $30.00+ other high-end mascaras) as well as the texture. It is not flaky nor "crunchy". It feels really soft (reminds me of Maybelline Full N' Soft). I didn't have a problem with clumping as well. It provides a true-to-black color. It's not a grey tone. It didn't smudge either. I really like this mascara and plan on purchasing the full size as soon as possible!

Overall Rating: 9/10

Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner in Bronze
Source: tartecosmetics.com
The Claims:
A creamy Amazonian clay infused eyeliner that goes on smooth and allows you to create a thin line or thick cat eye in an instant then dries down to budge-proof smudge-proof perfection. A FREE double-ended liner brush is included for precise application.
Product Performance: Line and define your gorgeous eyes with this clay infused formula that glides over lids without pulling or tugging. The quick-dry formula is available in a variety of shades and sets quickly so your liner stays put all day.Get the sharpness of a liquid liner look but with a plush velvety finish that’s easily smudgeable allowing you to create your choice of a sleek or smoldering line.
Powered By: Amazonian clay: Amazonian clay is nature's most perfect ingredient— lending deep color pigments while nourishing skin, reducing surface oil and improving overall texture for smooth application.

This product literally stays on from the time you apply it, to the moment you remove it! I've heard so many wonderful things about Tarte's Amazonian Clay line and I can see why there is such a hype about it! This lasts so long, the bronze color is gorgeous! There are endless looks you can achieve with this single product, as well as various locations on your eye to put this. It can be used alone for a more subtle natural look. Or, what I did today was apply a line of my favorite liquid eyeliner ever Urban Decay 24/7 Liquid Eyeliner, and then applied this above it. It gave it a really soft smoky-ish look and I am in love with it! I'm also going to try applying this on my lower lash line. I bet it'll look absolutely devine. The color is a pigmented warm shimmery-brown/bronze that's flattering on any skin tone, especially mine. The brush is really nice as well! I have my own brushes (my new MAC ones are being shipped, Christmas Gift from my parents!) but I decided to use the brush that was given in the set. I recommend using the smaller, pointier side for more precision. I didn't like using the opposite side to apply this because it looked messy. You can use this as a cream-eyeshadow as it would be an amazing hold-in-place base for any eye look! I plan on buying more shades!

Overall Rating: 9/10

Final Note
All the products are wonderful, there isn't a single product I didn't enjoy. I love everything that came in this adorable package!

Until Next Time,
xoxo

New At Ulta: Revlon Photoready BB Cream and Revlon Nearly Naked! Founded at ULTA!

Hello everyone!

So yesterday I went to Ulta, and I spotted 2 cool new lines by Revlon! The Revlon BB Cream and Revlon Nearly Naked Makeup. I didn't get a chance to purchase the Revlon BB cream because they, obviously, were all sold out by the time I got it, but the nearly naked line looks very intriguing! I didn't, however, purchase anything yet because I want to finish up some foundations that I barely use before purchasing a new product.

Even though I don't have a review on these products, you can expect one coming soon because when I come back from vacation you can bet I'd be buying these products!

Hey Guys!

I Thought I'd share this with everyone because it's something really cool and exciting! It's an app for your iPhone called: Wrapp. This app allows you to send and receive certain gift cards for free! I found out about this app after my sister sent me a $5.00 gift card to Sephora. I already got a $15 off $50 purch from Sephora, so getting this is a nice bonus!

Here's a screen shot I pulled off from their iTunes website:

You can download it for free for your iPod, iPhone, iPad...etc. I'm almost positive this app works for androids as well.

Happy Sending!

Dying My Hair For The First Time! Feat. Clairol Natural Instincts

Hey guys!

So a couple days ago, I died my hair! I bought a regular ol' box dye from Ulta and it's the Clairol Natural Instincts in Medium Auburn (Raspberry Creme) $8.69. I was drawn to this specific dye because it said it was less damaging than most hair dyes, and was ammonia free. The word "natural" really drew me into the product. It's supposed to last up to 28 shampoo washes, and it also comes with a refresher, or as they called it. After 2 weeks has passed, you apply this product in your hair, leave it in for 5-10 minutes, and then it's suppose to "refresh" or "re-color" your hair. I have yet to try that product out!

The Claims:

This Level 2 hair color is formulated with 100% pure aloe, chamomile, and ginseng to condition hair during coloring. This ammonia-free formula enhances color and shine, but does not lighten hair. If unsure on a shade, choose a shade lighter than your current color. Kit includes: No Amonia Colorant, Developing Lotion, Deep Conditioning Treatment with Aloe, Simple Application Instructions, Professional Gloves.

From: Ulta.com

Clairol Natural Instincts in Raspberry Creme $8.69
Since my hair is naturally dark dark brown, the color didn't fully turn out like this. However, after leaving the dye in for 10 minutes, my hair was a noticeably beautiful burgundy-cherry-chocolate color (So slightly darker than the color shown above). It's most noticeable in the light. It looks ahmazing! When I swish my hair it looks like red. Fire!

Selfie(: Day 2, and I crimped my hair!

Overall I am happy with how it turned out, how easy the application was, and just the product in general!

Until Next Time,
xoxo

Ulta Exclusive Benefit Falalala Flawless Set. Review: the POREfessional, BADgal Waterproof Mascara, Some Kind Of Gorgeous in Lite

Hello beauties!

Recently, on Black Friday, I purchased the Benefit Falalala Flawless set! It was $25.00 (+tax) at Ulta! I posted a link to the exclusive Black Friday ad on a previous post which did show the set in the ad. I believe today is the last day this product will be in stores so hurry on in to an Ulta store near you!

This set contains 3 full sized products! The reason for this purchase was for the POREfessional face primer. That primer runs for $30 by itself. To get 2 full sized products that were $19 (BADgal Waterproof Mascara) and $30 (Some Kind of Gorgeous in Lite) with the POREfessional ($30) for $25+tax was an amazing deal! I was super happy to pick up one on my Ulta trip!

*Click on the pictures to enlarge*

Benefit the POREfessional face primer ($30.00)
This is a really silky-smooth face primer that comes out of the tube a gel-like flesh tone color, but goes on the skin really smoothly and transparent. I really like this product. A primer isn't necessary. It's more of a luxury product. However, I happen to really like using a face primer after my moisturizer, before my face makeup.

Product Description:

What it is:
A PRO balm that minimizes the appearance of pores.

What it does:
The POREfessional quickly minimizes the appearance of pores. Apply this silky, lightweight balm to achieve translucent pore coverage and smoother-than-smooth skin. Pores—now you see 'em, now you don't!

What else you need to know:
Oil-free. Instructions included.

Credit: Sephora.com

I feel like this product lives up to the claims. It doesn't feel heavy, and it makes my skin look flawless! I really like this product and will be repurchasing this product once it's finished.

Benefit BADgal Waterproof Mascara ($19.00)
The wand on this mascara is much more smaller than the BADgal original (non-waterproof).

Product Description:

What it is:
A waterproof black mascara.

What it does:
Benefit BADgal Waterproof Mascara has a smudge-proof, tear-proof, and long-wearing formula combined with a custom brush that spirals around the stem to lift, curl, and separate every lash. Get ready for lashes with a little more oomph and a lot more drama.

When I first saw this mascara, I thought it wouldn't separate my mascara because the wand wasn't a rubber wand. However, this mascara did separate my lashes, lengthen them, and add volume! The color is a really nice black, not gray, black. It didn't clump and one thing I loved about this mascara was that it wasn't hard! When you apply a couple coats, your lashes don't feel like there's anything on! A good dupe for this mascara would be the Maybelline Full N' Soft mascara. I usually apply my favorite mascara primer (Lancome Cils Booster XL Super-Enhancing Mascara Base $23.00) before applying mascara. This mascara didn't smudge, but I'm not so sure about the waterproof claim being that I didn't go swimming in it or anything. It's really nice for everyday. I have a lot of mascara, no joke probably 30 tubes all in one drawer, and this one was another really nice addition to my drawer! Even though I like this one, I love drugstore mascaras that are a lot cheaper and work just as great, I probably won't repurchase it just because it's not incredible. It's just good.

Benefit Some Kind Of Gorgeous in Lite ($30.00)
At first, I thought that this was a setting powder. But once I opened it, I found out it was a cream-to-powder type makeup. In the packaging it's a cream, but once it touches skin it feels more like a creamish powder.

Product Description:

What it is:
A sheer, oil-free, cream-to-powder complexion perfector.

What it is formulated to do:
This lightweight, translucent, foundation-like product smoothes out imperfections and evens skin tone with a silky, smooth finish that's super natural and super gorgeous.

When I first applied this product, it looked a tad bit light to my slightly tanned skin. Once it was blended though, it matched my skintone. It works great as a "concealer" for blemishes. I'm not so sure how to apply it because I hate using the sponge applicators some products come with. I heard some people just use their fingers, which is what I'm probably going to end up doing. I don't think I would like this for a full-face cover makeup. I think I would just like to use this for a spot coverage makeup that I want if I don't want a lot of makeup on. it doesn't come with a ton of product actually, the packaging is sightly deceiving. This product is really nice, but it isn't a huge hit with me. I do like it though, I think I'm going to give myself more time and uses before actually saying whether I like it or not.

So that is my review on this set as well as the products! I hope you enjoyed this post!

Breaking Dawn Part 2 Spoiler! And First JuicyCouture.com Order!

Hello gorgeous!

Today has been a really eventful day! I went to go see Breaking Dawn Part 2 and HOLY CHICKENCANOLIES IT WAS AMAZING. The ending was a real twist! It made my heart literally stop for a whole scene! Okay, so if you DO NOT want to find out what happens at the end of this movie than just skip right to the bottom where I talk about an amazing purchase I made on juicycouture.com, but if you DO want to find out what happens, then keep on reading. Okay, so in the end the Volturi has gathered people on one side, and the Cullens, as well as the Wolves and the Cullen's relatives and friends are on another side. Alice goes up to talk to Aro to convince him that Renesmee is not an immortal child. She holds his hand and shows him the future and how the child is not a threat, but Aro ends up wanting to attack. The Volturi grabs Alice and Carlisle runs after her yelling let go. He goes by a couple Volturi until Aro and Carlisle leap in the air to attack and Aro lands on the ground throwing Carlisle body on the ground and he is holding Carlisle's head (ergo, he killed Carlisle). Esmee screams, and there is a huge riot fight. The fight scene literally made me sit at the end of my seat and I was rooting for everyone to kill the Volturi. Jasper got his head ripped off and Alice screams (Jasper died). A wolf got strangled to death, and Jade (Dakota Fanning) her brother? I think, and another main Volturi character gets killed. After more intensive battling, Bella and Edward attack Aro and kill him! Until...THAT WAS ALL A VISION ALICE HAD AND SHOWED ARO THE FUTURE. So, that means the whole Carlisle and Jasper dying didn't happen it was all a premise that Alice had and showed Aro. Aro gets scared and he and the whole Volturi clan leave.  It is such an amazing ending to the saga I was on the edge of tears when I saw Carlisle and Jasper "die".  I really hope they make a epilogue of some sort. After watching it I really wish I had a love life like Bella and Edward. Oh well.

Anywhos...

I am super super excited to say that I just ordered my first juicycouture.com purchase literally 5 minutes ago! I purchased a daydreamer bag which has been on every single wish-list I've ever made and I finally decided to pull out my money and purchase it. A lot of people have the style I chose (the New Scottie Embroidery Daydreamer Bag). It is their most popular bag. I bought it in the Black rather than the Heather Prestige because I felt like I could pair it up with every outfit whether it's a formal occasion, or just for school. I really love the detailing of the bag as well! The leopard daydreamer was another one I was debating on purchasing, but I realized I needed a more staple classic purse.

Juicy Couture New Scottie Daydreamer Bag in Black $198.00

I was expecting this purse to be $300.00, but to find it for $198.00 it is definitely a good price for a designer purse! I have fell in love with it it is so cute!

Review: OPI Swimsuit...Nailed It!

Hi lovelies! I recently bought a new OPI nail polish and I am in love with it! OPI is by far my favorite nail polish brand. I love how good of quality the polishes by them are, and also I am a fan of the larger brush they have. They don't contain harsh chemicals and they come in an array of gorgeous shades! There is probably a thousand different colors to choose from! Usually, they're close to $10 a bottle which makes them higher end. But, it's worth it!

The shade I bought was Swimsuit...Nailed It! It's a beautiful royal-basic blue with shimmer. In the bottle I noticed slight teal-ish reflexes which are only seen when you tilt your nails or bottle in lighting. I think that this is a beautiful shade for all seasons! I am in love! I purchased mine at Ulta, but you can get yours at amazon for $8.50.

Review: Wet n Wild Coloricon Brow & Eye Liners

Hi pretties! I am super excited for today's post because this product is literally, just something I want to tell the whole world about! It is the Wet n Wild Coloricon Brow & Eye Liners that are found at stores such as Wal-mart, Target, and other drugstores that carry this brand. Now, if you aren't familiar with the brand Wet n Wild, then let me give you my opinion on it as a cosmetic product purchaser. This brand has amazing quality products for incredible prices! They have a full line of amazing lipsticks, eyeliners, mascaras, blushes, bronzers, face products, eyeshadows, nail polishes; basically any makeup product you can think of! The eyeliner's I am going to do a review on are only $0.93 at my local Wal-Mart. Yes, you read that right. Ninety-three cents! How crazy is that?!
They are approximately 19 cm in length!

*Also, before you read on; please make sure you follow this blog and subscribe to me on youtube! I will be having a giveaway soon once I reach a certain amount of followers and subscribers!

The above picture shows 3 of the shades that I purchased. The top one is in 651 Black Black, the center is 652 Dark Brown, and the one on the bottom is in 655 Charcoal. All 3 of the liners are extremely creamy, as you will see in the pictures below, and have incredible pigmentation making this eyeliner perfect for smoking out, or a really intense eyeliner. Since the formula is intensely creamy it will smudge a bit and run, giving this a rating of 3.5/5 in staying power.

Here are swatches of all 3 eyeliners, as well as my Lancôme Le Crayon Khôl in Black Ebony which is on the bottom.
As you can see, the Wet n Wild eyeliners are more creamier, and have a better pigmentation compared to my $25.00 Lancôme Le Crayon Khôl in Black Ebony which is significantly more expensive than the Wet n Wild ones. *Keep in mine that I swatched these all on my hand using the same amount of light pressure.

My Wet n Wild eyeliner in comparison to the Lancôme eyeliner on paper. I used the same amount of pressure, and as you can see the Wet n Wild one is much more creamier, and pigmented.
Another swatch on paper.

IN A SHORT:
I really like these eyeliners. They are way underpriced for the incredible pigmentation and creaminess but hey, that's perfectly fine by me! You get a lot (19 cm!), they are super rich, and will last a long time!

Sinful Colors Professional Nail Polish Available At Walmart! + Review

Hey guys, so I was requested to do more reviews, and I was at Walmart since one is close by and I saw a huge display of Sinful Colors Nail Polishes! I heard of the brand before from an eleventhgorgeous video, so I was really excited to see them at Walmart!

So this is the display that was in front of the makeup/beauty aisle at my Walmart.
So the colors I bought were Timbleberry and Boogie Nights, just to try out the brand. Timbleberry appeared to be a hot pink shade, but once it was applied it turned into a coral-pink color. Boogie nights is a cream-orange-pink shade.

Timbleberry

It took me at least 2-3 coats, which wasn't that bad. I did notice streaking on my nail on the first coat, and you have to be careful with the brush because it picks up a lot of product. My sister complained that her color globbed on her nail, I didn't find a huge problem with that for me. The color isn't so sheer, but one coat definitely won't cut it.

For the price per bottle ($1.99), I feel like it's worth it. It's very inexpensive for nail polish, they have a large array of colors, and I don't think that this is a bad polish.

My all time favorite brands are definitely China Glaze & OPI, just because most of my polishes are from those brands.

I used Seche Vite Top Coat on top for a quick dry, and shine. This protected the polish, and I haven't seen any chipping so far. It's been close to a week with this shade on and it looks like I just applied it that day! That makes me extremely happy.

In short, I think that these polishes are nice for the price you pay. You won't feel disappointed or in regret for spending the $1.99 on these polishes. I definitely will want to expand my sinful colors collection!

*BY THE WAY*
Thank you guys SO much for the incredible support on my blog! I can't express how motivated I am to make more posts!

Until Next Time,

Crystal Light Drink Mix for Healthier Skin!

Hey guys, so I went to Kroger to pick up some chocolate milk (I know, delicious), and I stopped by the drink mix aisle to pick up a new box of another favorite drink of mine (Crystal Light Peach and Mango Green Tea) and I saw the Crystal Light Skin Essentials Pomegranate Lemonade Drink Mix next to it so I decided to buy it. One reason why I love drink mixes is that they are really sweet so your sugar cravings are gone, they're inexpensive (I got both packs that have 7-10 pouches for $7 in total), and they're 5 calories a pouch!

So obviously the one on the left is the peach mango green tea, but the one on the right is the Skin Essentials one. Like I said I got it at Kroger.

The Claim: Antioxidant Vitamins and plant extract help nourish your skin from within

It was developed in part with European dermatologists.

My view:

Since I just started drinking it, I didn't notice any dramatic difference with my skin. I have oily-combo skin, not a whole lot of acne, just some bumps here and there and maybe a zit if it's...that time of the month.

At first, the taste is some what sour and shocking, but then it becomes sweet and you'll like it it tastes like juice. Not really pomegranate, but it tastes like fruit juice with minute maid.

The color is a intense red color so it will stain clothing.

I'll keep you updated to see if it has any real effects on my skin!

Thanks for the support, and make sure you check out my youtube channel: youtube.com/vanessatiffanie

Dry Hands? Elbows? DIY Moisturizing Scrub

Hello Beautifuls!
When I got home from soccer practice, I felt my hands were so chapped and rough. The weather where I live was somewhere around 50 degrees, which is a huge sign that fall is here! Cold winter means drier skin. Here is a simple yet effective DIY scrub you can use on your hands, elbows, feet, knees...any place where dry skin is visible. It's so easy and is made of ingredients that is found in most kitchens!
Just mix the 3 ingredients into a small or large container, depending on how much you want to make. There should be more sugar than olive oil, or honey because the sugar is the exfoliant. Honey is super moisturizing, as well is olive oil.

I hope you enjoyed this quick little DIY I thought I'd share with you, it's nothing super special, but it works wonders!

Until Next Time,
xoxo

Nails: Pink with Silver Glitter Ring Finger

Picture from here
My recreation
I found this picture online and I'v fell in love with the look! I think it's so cute and just girly and pretty! So, I took a bubble gum pink nail polish that I've had for a while (Wet N' Wild Pink Petal Glitter $2.00) and applied 2 coats of that on each nail except my ring finger. Then, I took a multi-color silver glitter nail polish (Betsey Johnson for Sephora by OPI in Sparkling Personality $9.50) and applied a coat on each ring finger.
1. Nails Inc. Kensington Caviar Base Coat $10.00
2. Wet N' Wild Mega Shine Nail Polish in Pink Petal Glitter $2.00
3. Betsey Johnson for Sephora by OPI Nail Polish in Sparkling Personality $9.50
4. Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Anti-Chip Top Coat $6.50

If you have any nail suggestions let me know I'd love to try them!

Until Next Time,

Self Tanners, My Favorites & Save 10% Off! (Review: Sun Goddess Self Tanning Lotion)

Hey everyone,
I am super super super excited to finally be doing this post! I've been waiting a while to test the product first before I put my thoughts in about it. Now, before I begin I want to make a quick disclaimer saying that this product was sent to me by the company. But, I was not forced to make a post about it, or advertise it. All the opinions below are my own, and are not affected by the company. Keep on reading to see how you can save 10% off your order!

Okay, so I know that summer is almost over and that tan that you worked so hard for by laying outside is starting to fade away. Every girl (or guy) wants that sexy, healthy, "sun-kissed" glow year round. Tanning beds are so bad for your skin it probably should be illegal. Tanning in tanning beds put harmful UV rays directly to your skin that can cause major health problems such as skin cancer. Click here if you want to learn more about tanning, and the effects it can cause to your health. I am not a professional or an expert in any way, shape or form, but I have been using self-tanning products for about a year. I don't use them so often, only when I want a nice glow to my skin for a special event or something along those lines. The one's I have used in the past and like include Banana Boat Summer Color Self Tanning Lotion Deep/Dark Color $7.49, St. Tropez Self Tan Bronzing Mousse $40.00 and Jergens Natural Glow & Protect Daily Moisturizer Medium/Tan $7.99
These are ones that can be found at stores such as Ulta or Sephora (see links for details).

The one I have been absolutely loving lately is the Sun Goddess Self Tanning Lotion. Here are the claims:

In my opinion, this is an absolutely amazing self tanner. Not only does it give me a nice natural color, but it doesn't have a horrible smell, it lasts long, and it doesn't end up on my favorite clothes, or bedding. That's because it's incredibly quick drying. I would say if you're more experienced with using self tanner then this will easily become a favorite of yours, but if you're someone who isn't so familiar with it, then I would still definitely purchase this product but possibly mix it with some gradual tanning lotion or regular lotion to make the application easier for you.

The product comes out more like a liquid with glitter and shimmer in it (an amazingly cute bonus!). The packaging is also really cute, it's hard to tell in the pictures below but the bottle actually has sparkles on it! I'm a huge glitter/sparkle fan so this was a real nice bonus for me!

I would have to say another reason why this is such an amazing product would be because of the company. They do not test on animals, and the shipping was fast and the service was absolutely amazing.  Also, they are so nice to provide gloves to those using their product (attached to the bottle in a cute pink little bag!) Provided along side with any purchase of this self tanner are samples! I received 10! I gave one to one of my best friends because she told me she envied the tan that I had and I had to let her try this product out!

You get a nicely sized bottle (8 oz.) for $38.95. This amazing self tanner is slightly cheaper than the St. Tropez self bronzing mousse. Yet they both have that fast-drying property to them. Being fast drying, you can easily wear your clothes after (although they recommend waiting 3 hours prior to showering, swimming, or wearing any nice clothing). I would defiantly chose this one over St. Tropez at the moment because it is just really nourishing and luxurious to my skin and I feel like this one is better than all the other self tanner's I've used in the past. If you want an amazing, not super expensive self tanner, this one is definitely the one to get.

APPLICATION
The application of this product is very easy. All you need to do is exfoliate (to remove dead skin cells for a longer, more even tan) , apply moisturizer to any super dry areas (toes, knees, elbows, ankles...etc.), and apply this product. Like I said earlier, if you're not so familiar with applying self-tanne, then I would mix this maybe with a gradual self tanner, or a plain old moisturizer. Tanner>Moisturizer ratio though. If you are a professional at applying self tanner and getting it to cover your body without missing a spot and streaking before the dry time has come, then this will be a breeze for you. I apply it in circular motions because I feel like it doesn't get streaks. Also, when applying, use the gloves provided. This will prevent discoloration to the palms of your hands. They are so nice to provide this!

The tan is claimed to last you up to 10 days. I think it depends on however much you apply. Obviously the more you apply or the more times you do, it will last you a long time. However, if you apply just a little, and don't reapply, then it'll last you maybe a couple days and during those days, gradually fade away.

On the left is a before picture, and the right is the after picture.
*Please note that these were taken in different rooms, the lighting did have an effect on the way the picture was captured.
I am super happy with this product, and I absolutely love it! Thank you so much Sun Goddess for introducing me to your revolutionary product which has quickly become a favorite of mine!

*You can save 10% off your order with a coupon code they kindly gave me for you to use! All you have to do is type: vanessatiffanie at checkout and you just saved 10%! How amazing!

I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know if you have any questions about it and I'll be more than happy to answer them!

Until next time,
xoxo

Sephora Haul! 8-10-2012

I could practically name every single item in a Sephora store, the cost of it, and which brand it's from. If I'm not in Forever21, Hollister, Victoria's Secret, or Nordstrom, I'm at Sephora.

So, on my recent trip to Sephora, I picked up a couple products that I either needed because I was running low on it, or I wanted to try it out. *Keep in mind that this is a collective haul, I did not buy this all at one stop. This is everything I bought since mid-June.

Click on the picture to enlarge

Bare Minerals Blush in Fruit Cocktail $19.00
Bare Minerals Blush in Vintage Peach $19.00
Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel  $25.00
Clinique Acne Solutions Clearing Concealer Medium 02 $16.50
Too Faced Natural Eye Neutral Eye shadow collection $36.00
Lancome Color Design Eye shadow in Vintage $18.00
Tarte Clean Slate Deluxe Primer Trio $9.00
Sephora Mineral Powder price unknown
Sephora Foundation price unknown

The products that I had to repurchase because I was running low on was my everyday moisturizer (Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel), my concealer when I have acne (Clinique Acne Solutions Clearing Concealer), and my favorite eye shadow (Lancome Color Design Eye shadow in Vintage).

*I don't wear makeup on an every day basis, nor do I wear all of these products all at once. That would be...too much.

I have some Bare Mineral products already, and I saw these two blushes (Fruit Cocktail and Vintage Peach) and I thought they were so pretty! I love Bare Mineral products because they're mineral and they're just nice on my skin and they're not full of horrible chemicals.
I heard so many wonderful things about the Too Faced Natural Eye palette and I thought, why not. It is $36, but it comes with 9 eyeshadows! It is a popular palette and I thought it'd be a good purchase!
When I was in line at Sephora, I saw this Tarte Clean Slate Deluxe Primer Trio, and I looked it over and thought, why not. For just $9, I get 3 different products so I really wanted to try it out! I ended up falling in love with the Clean Slate Poreless Primer so I am going to buy the full size very soon! It makes my makeup just glide onto my face and it makes my face feel oh so soft!
The last two products, the foundation and mineral powder by Sephora, were bought because I found them in the line. They were unopened and I thought that maybe I'd give Sephora face makeup a try so I purchased them. I can't find the receipt for those products so I don't remember the price, but I remember they were less then $20, so it was cheap!

Until Next Time
